Mrs H – The Convertible Bag – Paper Pattern
Mrs H – The Convertible Bag – Paper Pattern is a compact and versatile option for errands or day trips, providing convenience without the bulk of a larger bag. Designed for ease of use, it can be worn as a crossbody or converted into a backpack by unclipping the strap from the top rings, threading it through the back ‘tunnel,’ and re-clipping it to the bottom D-rings. This flexibility ensures you can switch between styles based on your needs or preferences.
Inside the bag, you’ll find a range of pockets to keep your belongings organized. It includes internal zip and slip pockets, as well as a zip pocket on the back and a slip pocket on the front. These features make The Convertible Bag both practical and adaptable for a variety of daily activities.

I FOUND A MISTAKE!
This pattern does have some known errors.
Incorrect cutting information on some paper patterns: Please follow cutting out guide on first page of booklet. The errors are as follows: 1 – Pattern Piece D Flap: pattern piece should read “Cut 1 outer, cut 1 lining, cut 1 fusible fleece, cut 2 medium weight interfacing”; 2 – Pattern Piece G Back strap tunnel: pattern piece should read “Cut 1 outer or contrast, cut 1 medium weight interfacing”; 3 – Pattern Piece I Zip and slip pockets: pattern piece should read “Cut 1 outer, cut 2 lining, cut 3 medium weight interfacing”.
Paper Piece B Lining measurements: Some of the paper patterns have the measurements reversed on the cutting out page for Paper Piece B Lining. The correct measurements are 13″ x 12″ (33cm x 30cm). The paper pattern piece, label, and PDF patterns are all correct.
Material requirements: You may need 1 5/8yds (1.5m) of medium weight interfacing for this bag.
