They both use this stretched geese mini pattern in some of their bags and they looks amazing.
The pattern uses the foundation paper piecing technique and includes a mini block template and detailed foundation paper piecing insructions.
The cover block finishes at 4″; however the template allows for a range of finishes sizes beween 1 1/2″ and 7 1/2″.

Fabric Requirements:
Scraps ranging from 3/4″ to 1″ widht x 1 1/2″ x 2″ length
Background: a fat eight to fat quarter
Choose fabrics carefully. Every detail of a min-block is notiecable. The story you tell though fabric choices is especially important in tiny blocks.
