The Mercantile Sampler Quilt is a stunning and unique quilt project designed by Lori Holt. The finished quilt measures 88″ x 88″ and features 25 pieced blocks that are each transformed into 12″ circles, then appliquéd onto 4-patch pieced backgrounds. This creative technique allows the blocks to be rotated and viewed from fresh perspectives—adding incredible visual interest and making this quilt truly one-of-a-kind.
Each finished block measures 14″ x 14″ after piecing and applique. It’s wonderful scrap-friendly project.
Note: There is no formal pattern for this quilt. Lori Holt has shared a cutting guide and the block instructions on her blog.

ESSENTIAL TOOLS
