Krystal Convertible Backpack – Hydrangea Blue
Includes a curated list of recommended materials. Select and add only what you need.
The Krystal Convertible Backpack by Linds Handmade is a fun, colorful project that shows how beautifully a bold print can come together with perfectly coordinated bag-making supplies.
For the exterior, we used Hydrangea Blue by Kaffe Fassett, featuring vibrant shades of blue, lilac, pink, and red. Lilac seatbelt webbing coordinates beautifully with the print while creating comfortable, durable straps for the convertible design.
The colorful details continue with a lilac zipper with rainbow coil, finished with our Daisy Delight Zipper Pulls. Rainbow hardware ties everything together and adds another playful pop of color.
Inside, Lilac Water Resistant Canvas creates a durable, easy-care lining without the need for additional interfacing.
Project Details:
- Pattern: Krystal Convertible Backpack by Linds Handmade
- Exterior: Hydrangea Blue by Kaffe Fassett
- Lining: Water Resistant Canvas – Lilac
- Webbing: Seatbelt Webbing – Lilac
- Zipper: Lilac with Rainbow Coil
- Zipper Pulls: Daisy Delight
- Hardware: Rainbow Finish
The Krystal is also a great example of a bag where we like to use fusible fleece when we want a softer, more flexible structure rather than the firmer finish created by Decovil.
