Fabrics

We recommend the following materials for the best results:

Exterior (Choose One):

  • Mora Faux Leather (recommended)
  • Waxed Canvas
  • Water Resistant Canvas
  • Canvas

Please note: Cork fabric is not recommended for this pattern, as the fold-over design may cause excessive wear over time.

  • 1 yard Exterior Fabric
  • 1 yard Quilting Cotton for the lining

Interfacing & Stabilizers

For cotton fabrics, we recommend applying a woven interfacing before adding stabilizers.

  • Medium-weight woven interfacing (such as SF101 or equivalent) for all cotton fabrics
  • Decovil Light (or similar medium/firm stabilizer)
  • Decovil Heavy, Peltex 71F, or similar ultra-firm stabilizer

Zippers & Notions

  • 30” #5 zipper tape
  • 2 #5 zipper pulls
  • Double-sided sewing tape
  • 17” of 3/8” elastic (optional, for pen holders and organizers)
  • 19” of 1½” elastic (optional, for bottle holders)
  • 24” of piping cord (optional, for rolled handles)

Hardware

  • 2 – 1” Swivel Snap Hooks
  • 4 – Strap Wraps (optional)
  • 5 – 1” Strap Sliders (thick sliders are recommended when using faux leather straps)
  • 6 – 1” Strap Ends (10 required if making flat handles instead of rolled handles)
