Fabric & material recommendations

This bag looks especially luxurious in faux leather or cork. Canvas can also be used, with one important note:

• If using canvas for the exterior, you’ll need to skip the optional zip pocket facing and slip pocket trim, since those pieces have raw edges and are best made from cork, vinyl, leather, or faux leather.

For best results:

• Use cork, vinyl, leather, or faux leather for the buckle connectors and handles, since they include holes for pin buckles.

• For the lining, choose quilting cotton or cotton canvas—these work great because the stabilizers are fused to the lining, so a fusible-friendly fabric is ideal.
