Around the Bobbin The Patchwork Tote Pattern – Scrap-Buster Tote, Fat Eighth & Fat Quarter Friendly, Confident Beginner

The Patchwork Tote by Around the Bobbin is a fantastic scrap-busting project for confident beginners! Designed to showcase 6–12 coordinating fabrics, this tote is perfect for using up fat eighths and fat quarters. Choose from two versions:

  • Version A features strips of equal widths meeting at the center for a classic look.

  • Version B offers an offset strip layout for easier piecing.

Handles can be crafted from webbing or sewn following the included instructions. The tote includes a magnetic snap closure and easy interior slip pockets, making it a perfect everyday bag. A great project for patchwork and bag-making classes!

Big Giant Quilted Bow by Lindsey Grace Creates Using the Gingerbread Lane collection by Kiley Ferons for Moda Fabrics, she created the patchwork front with two Charm Packs, giving the bow a beautiful mix of coordinating Christmas prints without having to cut into lots of different yardage. For the reverse/lining, Suzanne used 1½ yards of Ornaments Sugar from the same Gingerbread Lane collection. She added fusible fleece to both the exterior and lining for extra body, softness, and structure so the oversized bow holds its shape beautifully. To make it easy to display, she added a 1½” gate ring at the top, perfect for hanging the finished bow on a door.
